Astrae Oratio Global CBT Wrap-Up (Oct 2–6, 2026): Content, Rewards and What We Learned

Astrae Oratio’s first global closed beta test ran from October 2, 2026 (12:00 UTC+9) to October 6, 2026 (12:00 UTC+9) on Android and iOS. NC has marked the server notice as ended. Here is a recap of the five-day test.

What testers could play

• Story: three main scenarios — the prologue, Minato Arc Chapter 1 (The Sparkling Days of the Minato Magicians) and Shinjuku Arc Chapter 1 (The Night of Urban Legend Hunters and the Vanished Magician) — plus two mini stories.
• Characters: 18 playable characters. See the full list with CBT roles on the characters page.
• Battle content: quests in Minato and Shinjuku at Normal, Hard, Very Hard and Challenge difficulty, plus Score Trial, the Simulation Room and a newly revealed raid.
• Social content: Free Time visits to raise bond levels, costumes and character voice lines.

CBT rewards

Every tester received daily login mail at 18:00 (UTC+9) with 30 Gacha Coins, 25 Oracle Device Daisy Wheels, 10 SP Restoratives and 8 Simulation Room Tickets, plus a rotating bonus (3,000 Magician EXP, 3,000 Hecate’s Ember or 15,000 Magic Silver Coins). Clearing each arc chapter added 1,000 Meteorites and 60 Starlight Films. We break these down in the gacha guide.

Known issues

NC’s known-issues notice confirmed that voice acting for Episodes 5–7 of Minato Arc Chapter 1 was still being recorded and would be added for launch. Other issues included the game occasionally restarting from the intro after long idle periods and the mail icon not lighting up for new rewards.

Key takeaways

1. Combat is turn-based with real-time parries, and Dominion Skills reset cooldowns — read the combat guide.
2. Two gacha types were in the CBT: the Oratio Gacha and the Vignette Gacha.
3. Three CBT characters have no official profile yet: Sigrid Ulvhern, Nagatani Kanon and Nowatari Shion.
4. Nothing carries over. All CBT data was wiped when the test ended.
